A boring white lamp shade is just a boring white lamp shade. That is until… a few randomly placed strips of masking tape, bronze and silver metallic acrylic paint and a rainy afternoon transforms it into something new.

“Hey, I have an idea. I could stack bricks, wood and patio stones to make a TV stand.” She says as her partner looks at her quizzically.
Admittedly, this one took a bit of convincing, but the end result did get the stamp of approval.
P.S. The bulldogs rump was not intentional. He insisted on being in the photo.
Stereo Credenza and Vinyl Storage
You can buy it, or you can up-cycle it. Picked up the original faux teak stand on the cheap via Craigslist, primed and painted it white, then added a stained (Early American) pine top and hairpin legs.

I wanted a space just for me. This is what I came up with. It is my favourite place.
As I sit here tonight writing this, it occurs to me that I probably still don’t spend enough time here.
